Jio has reduced the validity of its Rs. 509 recharge pack with 2GB bundled data as well
This means consumers can still purchase the Rs. 399 plan with 84-day validity for the next few hours. As part of the company’s ongoing Diwali cashback offer, which ends on October 18, buyers of the Rs. 399 recharge will get Rs. 400 cashback in the form of eight vouchers of Rs. 50 that can used to purchase Jio recharges after November 15.
Validity of the Jio 509 plan will also been curtailed from 56 days to 49 days for prepaid users. It is not yet clear whether the validity of the postpaid plan at the same price will be impact as well. The plan still provides 2GB high-speed data per day, as well as the standard benefits the company offers in the Rs. 399 and Rs. 459 plans.
Other Jio prepaid plans changes
Under the tariff revision, Jio has also increased the amount of data bundled with the Rs. 149 prepaid pack. Instead of the 2GB data, users will get 4GB data, while the other details of the plan, including the 28-day validity, remain unchanged. The data allocation with the Rs. 999 plan (90-days validity) will be lowered from 90GB to 60GB as part of this revision, while the 90-day validity and other details remain the same. Similar will be the case with the Rs. 1,999 (120-days validity) and Rs. 4,999 (210-days validity) packs, which will now have 125GB (down from 155GB) and 350GB (previously 380GB). Notably, the revised data allocations for these high-value packs is the same as it was before Jio introduced the Rs. 399 Dhan Dhana Dhan offer in July.
When it comes to small value recharges, Jio will reduce the data allocation of the Rs. 19 pack (with 1-day validity) from 200MB to 150MB. It will also provide 150MB 4G data daily with the new Rs. 52 pack (7-day validity) and Rs. 98 pack (2-week validity). For all the above mentioned plans, once the high-speed data allocation is exhausted, the speed reduces to 128kbps.
