Will the Minister of HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:-
(a) whether there is a special quota for the Members of Parliament and the Ministry for special concession in admission to the Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) and if so, the details thereof including the guidelines laid down in this regard;
(b) whether the Government proposes to provide coupons to the Members of Parliament through the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for each KV keeping in view the number of KVs located in their Parliamentary Constituencies and if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether there is any proposal to increase the number of coupons given to the Members of Parliament under special concession in admission to the KVs;
(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and

STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PARTS (a) TO (e) OF THE LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 107 RAISED BY DR. RAM SHANKAR KATHERIA & SHRI HARISH DWIVEDI, HON’BLE MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT TO BE ANSWERED ON 25TH NOVEMBER, 2019 REGARDING KENDRIYA VIDYALAYAS.
(a) Yes, Sir. Under the Scheme of Special Dispensation Admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) for Hon’ble Members of Parliament, each MP of Lok Sabha can refer 10 (ten) cases for admission in an academic year but such recommendations shall be confined to the children whose parents belong to his/her constituency either by domicile or on account of having been soon-before posted there or else on account of exigencies of service migrate to his/her constituency. Such recommendations would be for admissions in Kendriya Vidyalaya(s) (KVs) located in his/her constituency only. For Hon’ble MPs of the Rajya Sabha, the State from which the member has been elected would be deemed to be his/her constituency for this purpose. Nominated Members of the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha can recommend 10 (ten) cases for admission in any one or more KVs of the country.
(b) to (d) There is no proposal under consideration at present either to provide coupons to the Members of Parliament for each KV keeping in view the number of KVs located in their Parliamentary Constituencies or to increase the number of coupons given to the Members of Parliament under the special concession in admission to the KVs.
(e) In case there is no KV in the constituency of the Hon’ble MP (Lok Sabha) or in case the KV located in the constituency of the Hon’ble MP (Lok Sabha) does not have the required Class /Stream in which the recommendation for admission is to be made, she/he can recommend the case(s) in KV(s) located in any neighbouring contiguous constituency.
